Safeguard Housing Resource

In January 2022,  Rach'El Dowden's life was unexpected and prematurely taken. An act her family acknowledges was a result of domestic violence. Rach'El was a mother to two young children, a sister, a daughter, a cousin a friend and much much more. 

Rach'El did most of the things right to escape her circumstances.  But as we know, victims of DV are at greater risk during their attempt to leave. When the news came out about Rach'Els fear of posting a GoFundMe to help her flee and the details surrounding her circumstances...the purpose of this mission was revealed. 

To honor Rach'El Dowden, Nikki Dailey and to prayerfully assist other Black Mothers....

The Safeguard Housing Resource was created, to provide rental assistance and moving assistance for Black Mothers and Children fleeing domestic and community violence.
